David Wood Silek is a native of the Shenandoah Valley. Mr. Silek graduated from Radford University in 1994 with a Bachelor of Business Administration, with a major in Small Business Management and minor in History and Political Science. He then went onto a graduate fellowship at the University of Virginia's Sorenson Institute for Political Leadership in 1997. He received his juris doctor in 2001 from Regent University School of Law in Virginia Beach, Virginia.
Following graduation from law school, Mr. Silek was first employed by a law firm in Fairfax, Virginia. There he specialized in Insurance Defense and Plaintiff's Civil Litigation. He then joined Ours & Ward, PC in the Summer of 2004. In 2005 Mr. Silek was promoted to a member of the firm of Ours & Silek, PC. Mr. Silek's practice centers in Domestic and Family Law, Civil Litigation, and Business Law.
Mr. Silek has been a member of the Virginia Bar since 2001, and the District of Columbia Bar since 2004. He is admitted to practice in all of the trial and appellate courts of the Commonwealth of Virginia, the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Virginia, the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Virginia, and the Superior Court and Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia. Additionally, Mr. Silek is a member of the Fairfax County, Prince William County and Warren County Bar Associations.
In his free time Mr. Silek enjoys working on his farm, traveling, snow and water skiing, golfing, biking and studying the War Between the States. He is an active communicant of Calvary Episcopal Church. Mr. Silek also serves on the Board of Architectural Review for the Town of Front Royal and is the past campaign chairman of the United Way of Front Royal and Warren County, Virginia.
